Arcipelago Botanico unfolds as an imaginary botanical landscape within the courtyard of Portrait Milano, the former Archiepiscopal Seminary on Corso Venezia. Eight monumental sculptures, rising up to four metres, introduce an alien heraldry into the ordered architecture of the sixteenth-century complex. Made of painted steel and pigmented concrete, the works hover between plants, emblems, totems and impossible organisms.
