“The Garden of Alabu” is a site-specific wall painting for the award-winning Kent building, designed by CF Møller Architects along Østre Havn in Aalborg.

The motif unveils six plants found in the immediate area, chosen with the consultancy of nature guide Esben Buch and landscape architect Karen Luise Winther Høgsbro: Hemp deer's comforter, Cat’s tail, Yellow iris, Meadow clove root, Yellow seed star, Hollow-collared cowpea.

The artwork has been wished to be the supporting element in the room, supplemented by a sculptural steel staircase leading to the Sky Lounge on the top floor. The artwork can be experienced in smaller pieces and up close to the stairs and landings.

The title "The Garden of Alabu" refers to the fjord's importance for Aalborg and to the city's original name from the first coins struck in 1035 (Alabu—Aalabur).
